We took a chance and experimented with two Saturday nights at the wonderful Robson Square. We wanted to see if we could bring people from different groups together and have them enjoy dancing. We had younger & older, locals & tourists, & many ethnicities represented. It worked. They danced! We had fun. There will be more.
The first in a long series of workshops, Sam’s intensives are different than other schools. Sometimes, the focus is strictly on technique to improve form. Sometimes, we will introduce a brand-new dance to Vancouver. Sometimes, we will offer something specific that we don’t teach in-depth in our regular classes, like body isolations and musicality.
Sam’s is conducting an ongoing Dance in Transit Project to introduce dance to people on the skytrain, in stations, and on the street. This is spontaneous and outrageously fun. If you see us and hear us some day, join us for a few minutes of movement and music. It’ll add some spice to your day! LIKE us on Facebook to find out when our next Dance in Transit event is happening.
The first in an upcoming series of dance socials, we danced Zouk, Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba in this amazing outdoor space in the heart of Granville Island. Watch our website and Facebook page for more of these FREE events in the summer months. Sam’s will be all over the city dancing our pants off!
